An exhibition of weapons and suits of armor in a castle with 2000-year-long history:  from emperor Claudius Augustus to Teodolinda; from Charlemagne to Gattamelata, from the Da Camino to the Brandolini family that lived in the castle for more than 500 years.

An occasion for celebration in spirit, culture and history that recreates the evocative atmospheres of past times.

Walking through the Castle’s old prisons, you can feel the mood of a trial of the end of the XVI or the beginning of the XVII century in the Fief of Valmareno.

You can be part of the proceedings. You can spy inside the torture room and attend the execution of the defendant.

The museum is hosted in three ancient cells, that were prison for a long time. Each of them is dedicated to a specific topic:

In the exhibition space of the S.Martino’s Church some of the most representative Veneto historical figure are presented by dressed lay figure and a multimedia effects.

The Emperor Claudio Augusto, who construct Claudia Augusta Road, the Doge Marin Falier, Da Camino’s Father and Daughter, Casanova and much more.

Through their costumes and thanks to multimedia effects (an actor that personify each figure) audience can understand the Veneto history directly from their memory.

The exhibition is hosted in the late-imperial period quarter and  show the history and development of musical instruments from ancient times to the Baroque Age.

Pictures and descriptions help you enjoy your visit and appreciate the complete and semi-finished instruments on display.

An historical way that investigate the story of the ancient road Claudia Augusta studing the lay-out and the economical and cultural relations beetwen the popolations along the street.

A military road built on ancient trails, that join two thousand years the Adriatico and Danubio shores.

Along this road people passed for different reasons: legions directed to Empire boundary, merchants who transported their goods from North to Mediterranean sea, flocks, army, wanderings.

A continuous coming and going of people and cultures through the Alpes that formed the history Europe.

Placed in the suggestive area of the castle Eighteenth Century cryptoporticus, carts and carriages tell the diachronistic story and evolution of means of transport used by men.

The exhibition of them, constructed between XVIII and XIX century, among which there is a Roman biga accurately reproduced and an elegant milord, will lead visitors to fairy tale courtly atmospheares when Counts Brandolini's guests went through the castle road on their fascinating "cars".
